The MFC-J6945DW's screen, for instance, works in conjunction with a number pad and a few other buttons, while the ET-3760's 2.4-inch display comprises the entire control panel. Of the AIOs mentioned in the previous paragraph, most also have 30-sheet manual-duplexing ADFs, except for the OfficeJet Pro Premier and MFC-J6945DW, which come with auto-duplexing ADFs that hold 35 sheets and 50 sheets, respectively. However, as a super-tabloid (13 by 19 inches) machine capable of printing, copying, scanning, and faxing over-size documents, compared to these other compact desktop-space-saver AIOs, including the ET-3760, Brother's model is a beastĪgain, the ET-3760's 30-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) is manual-duplexing, meaning that to scan the second side of two-sided documents you must flip it yourself to capture the other side. Brother, too, offers a comparably priced Editors' Choice AIO, the MFC-J6945DW INKvestment Tank Color Inkjet All-In-One Printer. Somewhat bigger, though, is HP's OfficeJet Pro Premier (another PCMag favorite). It also measures similarly to Canon's Pixma G4210 MegaTank AIO, one of that company's bulk-ink models. Measuring 10.0 by 16.4 by 19.8 inches (HWD) and weighing 15 pounds, the ET-3760 matches its better-endowed sibling, as well as Epson's WorkForce ST-3000 EcoTank AIO, in size and girth. A New LookĪs I pointed out about the ET-4760, this year's stable of EcoTank printers (which includes four color AIOs, two monochrome AIOs, and a single function monochrome machine) are white-representing, as does the new EcoTank tagline, "Just fill and chill," Epson's bold stab at playing it cool. If you use your all-in-one printer to churn out primarily one-sided prints and copies, though, and don't mind assisting your AIO when the occasional two-sided scan job comes along, the ET-3760 may pose a better value for your small office. Depending on the types of documents and volume your small, micro, or home-based office produces, the manual-duplexing ADF alone may be a deal-breaker, and well worth another C-note. ![]() ![]() For that lower price, you give up significant capacity and a few key productivity features, including an auto-duplexer (for scanning the second side of two-sided pages) and the ability to send and receive faxes.
